Bahrain Adds Georgia on Its Red List


Bahrain adds Georgia on its red List recently to updated its COVID-19 travel list because of increasing infected cases. It has added three more nations to its current red list. At the same time, it’s important to note that Bahrain is also allowing the citizens of these three countries to return home.

Updated Red List of Bahrain

The Civil Aviation Affairs of Bahrain as mentioned above has updated its red list. The new list now contains Georgia, Malawi, and Ukraine. It happened because of the recommendations by the NMTCC (National Medical Taskforce for Combating Covid-19). Currently, there are many other countries on this list. However, people who are residing in Bahrain from these countries can travel back to their homes.

You Can Travel Back to Bahrain From Georgia

If you are from a country that’s not mentioned on the red list then you can travel to Bahrain. But if you have been to any of the red-listed countries then you’ll need to wait for 14 days. However, the government of Bahrain has made an exception to this rule if you are a resident or citizen of Bahrain.

Requirements to Enter Bahrain

It’s important to note that even if you are eligible to enter Bahrain, you must have a PCR test with negative results. Moreover, the test must be taken within the last 48 hours of your flight to Bahrain. For example, if you flew to get married in Georgia from Bahrain then you’ll need to undergo a PCR test. The results of the test must be negative and it must be taken not more than 48 hours of your flight.

After reaching Georgia, you’ll also need to spend 10 days in quarantine and it is a mandatory requirement. Moreover, if you need to go COVID-19 test then you’ll also need to pay for that after reaching Bahrain by using the BeAware Bahrain application. It’s important to note that the government of Bahrain has designated centers for quarantine which are licensed by the NHRA (National Health Regulatory Authority). These centers are for those people who do not have their permanent address in Bahrain.

On the other hand, people who have a permanent address in Bahrain will need to spend a 10 days quarantine period in their residence. Six years old or younger kids are exempted from these requirements.
